The newest marker in my collection is my Thistle SLS. 

Like the other SL markers, this one is complete and took me over two years to find. The SLS is the rarest of all the SL Egos.

My second Ego was an 08 grey/fern, which I sold to buy my Pink Lady 08. 

I’ve always love this color, so I picked up this one LNIB in 2020. I’ve installed BUMP LPR and HPR pistons, a Violent deuce trigger, a matching POPS ASA, a Zick2 rammer, and a toolless feedneck thumb screw. Fully tuned up, this is one of the smoothest Egos I’ve ever shot, and it’s the backup to my olive SL66.

LNIB 08 Pink Lady Ego, my first and only Ego that I purchased new. This has less than a case of paint through it.

Was missing the valve and barrel kit. I’ve acquired a full SL kit in gloss black, I need to have both tips anodized dust gold. I also need to anodize the eye covers and feedneck polished black. Once ano matching is complete, a full rebuild will be carried out, and I have both valves.

This 1 of 10 Italian flag Nexus Ego was owned and tournament used by Arsenal captain JC Whittington. When I bought the marker in 2008 the factory dove tail was damaged and dremeled off. The original ASA and feedneck were missing, and a Tadao board was installed. 

I still have the original frame, but I have another frame, feedneck, and ASA to send for ano matching. I also installed a factory Nexus board. 

While this is probably the worst condition Italian flag Nexus, it also has the biggest story and most provenance of the 10.

Proof that even I make mistakes…

I acquired this for a hefty sum from a trusted collector thinking that it was an 06.5 XSV Ego, which are unicorns. Upon receiving the marker I confirmed that it’s actually an 05 body that was anodized along with the frame… so I am building an 06.5 clone out of it to fill the space in my collection until I can find and purchase a real 06.5

In 2006 I was 16 years old and saw this olive/gold SL66 for sale at my local shop. I was in love, but had nowhere near the $1,750 MSRP. In 2008 the same SL66 came up for sale, and through some shrewd negotiation I acquired it for $500. 

It’s currently apart, obviously, to receive a full rebuild. This will be my main in 2024. The signature on the body is from Thomas Taylor. It’s no secret that I believe the SL66 is the best Ego ever made. This one has a rare SL66 Cure bolt, a toolless feedneck thumb screw, an upgraded factory XSV board, and I have a second matching barrel to be Freak bored, leaving the original barrel untouched.

My original Ego that I saved for and purchased in the fall of 2007. This was my first love ❤️

Shortly after buying my DM4 and SFT Shocker, my good friend acquired an 06 Ego. This is what made me fall in love with Egos, and ultimately buy my own.

My friend sold his 06 Ego back in 2008, so I’m building a clone. He did have a polished black Star reg and a black Empire Nano ASA, so I’m looking for them. He also had a Cure2 bolt which I have.

05 and 06 Egos twin hot rods.

These are being built with the best factory and aftermarket parts available for an 05/06 Ego. The 05 body was modified for 06+ detents. Both will have factory clamping feednecks, Cure1 bolts, Star HPRs, Violent SE rammer kits, Violent delrin triggers, Virtue boards, and POPs ASAs. The only differences will be an 05 Star frame for the 05 and an 06 Star frame for the 06, and the 05 will also have a 15 degree FRM. Parts need to be sent for ano matching and the builds will be complete.

After acquiring my DM4, I also bought a 2004 SFT shocker. I had always wanted a Hybrid Shocker as a teenager but couldn’t afford one. So I bought a project in 2022 and finally have my Hybrid SFT… every time I think about selling, I shoot it and then it stays. It is one of the best spools I’ve owned.

In 2020 when the PE offices were closed due to COVID, Jack Wood took the opportunity to clean out the offices. Over 200 markers were discovered which had been accumulated over the years for R&D. 

As a teenager I always wanted an Alien Interceptor, so when this one was found at PE HQ I had to buy it because of the ties to Planet Eclipse. When I got it, the marker was in pieces. I had to source hardware, a bolt, and a few other parts. I finally sourced a solenoid manifold gasket, and will no be able to complete a full rebuild to get the marker working. I have the original barrel.

In restoration process. When I got it it was missing the bolt, back block, feedneck swivel, grips, board, HPR, QEVs, ram bracket, barrel, and front block plug. All parts were sourced, and a matching back block was machined while a front block plug was also machined. Parts need to be sent for ano matching to complete the restoration.

I am into this marker for $40, and in 2020 I rebuilt it using an Eclipse ram and LPR. It shoots beautiful but has never seen the field due to the LNIB condition. I decided to disassemble it for a refresh, and I will be installing the stock pneumatics with a Belsales gen II twister cap.
