Paintball Vault Featured

Featuring puts your gear in front of more buyers. This guide explains what a Feature does, what it costs, and how to run one.

What A Feature Does

Featuring a listing places it across the highest-traffic parts of Paintball Vault for 72 hours:

  • Top of search. Your listing takes the featured slot at the top of the first page of search results and collection pages, badged as Featured. When more than one seller is featured, we show the one that best matches what the shopper is looking for.
  • The homepage. A slot in the Paintball Vault Featured section — the first gear anyone landing on the site sees — and on the Featured page behind it.
  • Our Instagram story. We post your gear to the Paintball Vault Instagram story, in front of an audience of players. Gear that's been storied also stays in our Found On IG collection afterward.
  • The weekly newsletter. You land in the Featured block of the email that goes out to thousands of buyers every week. Any Feature started in the seven days before a send is included.

Featuring is optional and separate from selling. Listing your gear is still free, and featuring does not change the platform fee on a sale — see Selling for how fees work.

What It Costs

Features are paid for with Feature credits, bought in packs:

PackPrice
1 Feature$7.99
3 Features$17.99
10 Features$49.99

Spending them:

Your credits never expire. Buy a pack now and spend it whenever you have gear worth pushing.

How To Feature A Listing

  1. Go to Your Gear in your account.
  2. Find the listing you want to push and press Feature.
  3. Confirm. One credit is deducted and the run starts immediately.

We also offer you the option right after you publish a new listing, so you can put fresh gear straight into the Featured section.

If you do not have enough credits, you will be asked to pick a pack first. Credit purchases are handled through our payment processor, and your credits land in your account as soon as the payment clears.

How To Feature Your Shop

A shop Feature promotes you as a seller rather than a single listing. Your shop appears in the Featured section as a tile built from a collage of your live listings, goes out as a collage on our Instagram story, and lands in the Featured Shop block of the weekly newsletter.

  1. Go to your own shop page.
  2. Press "Feature My Shop" in the callout above your gear — only you can see it.
  3. Confirm. Two credits are deducted and the run starts immediately.

You need at least one live listing with a photo for the collage to build.

How Long A Feature Runs

Every Feature runs for 72 hours — three full days — starting the moment you spend the credit.

Featured gear is ordered by whichever run started most recently, so the newest Feature sits at the front. As other sellers feature their gear, yours moves down the list.

Re-featuring During A Run

If you feature a listing that already has an active run, you do not start a second one. The existing run is bumped: the clock resets to a fresh 72 hours and your listing returns to the front of the Featured placements. Another credit is spent to do it.

Featuring More Than One Listing

There is no limit. You can hold as many active Features as you have credits for, on as many listings as you like.

A listing can be featured when:

  • It is your listing.
  • It is live — not sold, drafted, or removed.
  • It has at least one photo that is not a video. Instagram stories, homepage tiles, and newsletter tiles all render a still image, so a listing with only video cannot be featured.

Suspended accounts cannot spend credits.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does my Instagram story go up?

About 45 minutes after your Feature starts. That short delay means an edit you make in the first few minutes is reflected in the story, so it is worth getting your photos and title right before you spend the credit.

The story is skipped if, at the moment it would post, the listing is no longer live, the listing has an open moderation flag, or the account is suspended.

What happens if my gear sells during the Feature?

The run keeps going. Your listing stays in the Paintball Vault Featured section for the rest of its 72 hours with a Sold badge on it, which is good advertising for you as a seller. It stops taking the featured slot in search, and it will not be posted to Instagram if the sale happens before the story goes up.

Do my credits expire?

No. Credits stay in your account until you spend them.

Can I get a refund on a Feature?

Feature credits are spent as soon as a run starts and are not automatically returned. If a Feature failed to run properly, contact us and we will look at it.

Does featuring guarantee a sale?

No. A Feature buys visibility, not a sale. It puts your gear in front of substantially more buyers than it would otherwise reach, but price, photos, and description still do the selling.

Can I feature gear that is listed for trade only?

Featuring works on any live listing. Bear in mind that the placements are pointed at buyers, so a listing with a price will generally get more out of a Feature than one that is trade-only.

Where do I see my credit balance?

On the confirmation screen whenever you spend a credit, and in the pack picker when you buy more. Your balance is always the total of every credit you have bought, been given, or spent.

How do I know how my Feature did?

While a listing's Feature is running, its tile on Your Gear turns into a "Featured" button — press it for the time remaining plus the views and likes the listing has picked up during the run. When the run ends, we email you a report: views during the window against the traffic that listing normally gets, likes, offers, conversations, add-to-carts, your Instagram story's reach and views, and whether the gear sold.
